Panama, the most southerly country of Central America is blessed with a rich diversity and a number of wonderful birding lodges located admidst spectacular scenery.
Panama has a phenomenal 929 bird species, with the easily-accessible Central Region hosting some 600+ of this total.
The film highlights birding adventures in this Central Region, initially working the Soberania National Park of the Canal Zone and secondly birding the higher elevations of the El Valle region, some two hours drive westwards.
Join Malcolm and the team birding Semaphore Hill, Summit Ponds, Old Gamboa Road and Pipeline Road. Travel further afield along the Pacific coast, the highlands of Cerro Azul, the renowned Achiote Road and Tocumen Marsh.
Then experience the completely different habitats of El Valle, searching for orange-bellied trogons, black-crowned antpittas, white-tipped sicklebills and much more.

  1. I just found your website address in the freedom pages. I am very much a nature person! When is your next meeting?

  2. Ally, our field trip schedule varies but our monthly meetings are always the second Thursday of the month at 7:30pm. We are currently meeting regularly at the William Way Community Center at the address given above.

  3. I just found your website. Are you still meeting? It appears your last meeting and scheduled field trip were in September.

  4. I am looking to be in contact with any and all GLBT Alumni of North Carolina State University (NCSU) in Raleigh. I am hoping that members of theHumbolt Society and the National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals will be able to help us in our effort to be in touch with any of the members who may be NCSU graduates. I can be contacted at hobbitgarden@att.net.

    Thank you
