May Program

Egypt
Through the Eyes of a Naturalist
A Presentation by Scott Rawlins.

Egypt has been in the news almost every day in the past two years and much of the information reported has made tourists hesitate to visit the country.  Poppycock! – this is the best time to see the “land of the pharaohs.”  The tourist hot spots are vacant, the people anxious to please, and the flora and fauna comparatively undisturbed.  This program will allow attendees a chance to cruise the Nile (secondhand) on an old dahabiya, exploring ancient tombs and agricultural areas, and noting the wild and domestic wildlife that frequent them.
